Best weight bullet for 100 to 1000 yards out of a 6.5 Creedmoor (Ruger RPR) Load data would be helpful as well.
I was looking for one bullet to do it all. I am thinking of trying Scenar 139'sWhich are you shooting, 100 yards or 1,000 yards?
I tend to use lighter, flat based bullets for 300 yards and closer.
400 yards+ i use a heavier boat tailed bullet.
The Scenar isn't a bad bullet but many others passed it by with higher BCs which help a lot at longer ranges in the wind. Look at the 140 ELDs also and try them. The G1 of the 139 Scenar is .578 and the 140 ELD is .646. That's a big difference.I was looking for one bullet to do it all. I am thinking of trying Scenar 139's
It’s about what your rifle shoots best with. A better BC bullet may not shoot well in a particular rifle. To exclude a certain bullet just because it’s BC is not as good as another limits the possibility of finding what your rifle likes best IMO.Not always that way and why some testing should be done. I would test those two 140s and forget the 139s.
