Best .22 LR Bulk (Cheap) ammo for Ruger Pistols

Since I shoot 200 rounds or more per week, I feel my input may assist in selection. Currently, one must buy whatever one can find. Remington Golden Bullets shoot dirty and smokey yet if one finds the time to wipe clean each cartridge, performance increases. Bulk Federal loads are the best, cheap ammo straight from the box. If one has a few extra bucks to spend, CCI mini-max is the best regarding solid performance. CCI Blazers are plain bad, so I don't use them. Federal Game-Shok is great, but comes only in 50 round boxes. It's good to know that performance costs money expotencially. CCI Stingers are GREAT, but quite expensive, like 5 bucks per fifty. Some bulk ammo varies greatly in potency per round, and misfires and stovepiping can be annoying. Federal and CCI cause me the least problems in general. Since I mostly target shoot at paper, misfires aren't generally crucial. If I were to load-up for snake protection, CCI Stingers would be my choice, since I've never experienced a misfire or weak round from these dependable loads. Cliffy

You might want to try Federal Auto-Match from Wal-Mart. $14.50 per 325 rounds (about $2.25 per 50). Slightly higher velocity than "standard velocity" ammo with just enough power to feed in almost any auto loader, my Ruger's like this ammo very much.
