If I cross paths with it, I will certainly give it a try. This is not a static experiment. I have ordered the ammunition that shot best from the test candidates. Either I'll be happy for some time to come with it, or swallow the price of an expensive lesson and still have fun with it. I had hoped that it would be here by the coming weekend, but it may not arrive until next Monday. Not a big deal as we have a club-wide work day on Saturday and our annual Pig Roast on Sunday. We'll see.

Folks, I needed to let you know that if you want to see the follow-up work I've done since first posting this and there has been a lot, I have only been updating the original thread over on Rimfire Central. It can be found Here. Not being as familiar with all the rules regarding linking posts on another forum, I hope this doesn't incur the wrath of the moderators. Rimfire Central seemed like the best place to gather meaningful responses from folks who have "been there, done that." So far it has, but the replies here have been equally inspiring.
