Best 22-250 brass? Norma??

Back in the day, I could have answered this myself, but it isn't back in the day any more. Looks like I have aseveral choices now on new unfired brass.......NORMA? Hornady, Nosler, Lapua or Winchester. There is also Remington, but I know better than that. There's quite a few considerations, but here's not a better place in the world to ask than right here.

Seems like I saw a post that said 22-250 brass is nonexistent. If you have access, load up on Lapua and then buy the rest to sell and make some extra coin…

Alot of us like sig Sauer. Buy factory ammo and reuse the brass, runs about $1.50 each on ammoseek. Norma brass Has been good to me. Eventually lapua will show up again.
Who makes Sig brass?… do they or do they contract it out ?…

I’ll add that so far I have not heard or seen issues with any sig brass so that could be a option

Any idea why? I noticed that many years ago in the components crunch and had to scrounge up loaded ammunition. I guess it has not improved.

I’m kinda relieved by all of the positive comments I’ve been seeing here lately about the Sig 22/250 brass. My next planned build is a 22/250. A couple months ago (maybe 6 months) I started scouring the internet for brass. The ONLY place I found some had 2 bags of 50 for $50 each. Sig brass. I’d never used Sig brass so I was kinda leery, but it was all I could find so I grabbed it. Now, thanks to you guys, I’m glad I did. Now I’m just waiting on the barrel. It’s been 2 months since I ordered it from Jim at Northland, so it should be here in another 2-3 months. At my age I get a little jumpy with long wait times cause of having one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

I would have thought that barrel was kept in stock.

Criterion stainless match, 24” varmint contour, 1 in 12 twist, Savage small shank. Jim stated 12-20 week lead time. I’d love to have it right now, so I’m not just making this up.

I've been kicking the idea of fast twist 22-250ai. But that will probably happen after I wear our one on my factory remingtons. I really do love how my factory guns shoot.

Criterion makes GREAT Barrels and worth,.. the Wait !
Love my, 1-7.5 twist, Med Hvy, Sporter,.. 6 XC Barrel as Shoots "BugHoles" with 95 to 108 grain, Bullets.
The .22-250 Rem's Case design, works WELL even with, lower powered Loads ( It can be, Down loaded to, .223 Rem Velocities with,.. Good Accuracy ! ). I wouldn't Be without, a .22-250 of some Sort, in My Battery !

I have sworn by Federal nickel brass from way back, and I still think it's the best I have ever shot. I went through 2 full seasons of hunter benchrest on my original 25 pieces of that brass and it was as good at the end as it was in the beginning. Of course, I was not running it through a FL die either. I would love to find some of that for this gun, but like so many other components, it's hard to find. I actually tried some nickel Remington brass in my Tikka thinking that perhaps it had changed, and that maybe the plating would help, but what I found was that I could hardly even read the head stamp after one firing!!
