Lone Hunter,My question is "How do they perform in close, say 15 yards to 100 yards" ? Most of my shots are going to be around those distances and wonder if it is worth it to change from 165SGK to Bergers. I shoot 185 Juggernauts and love them but they are shot from 300 to 1000. I was looking at the 168 Classic Hunters.
At those short ranges use the .308 and the 168 grain Classic Hunter. Remember! At those short ranges you do not have to run them at wide open throttle! Seat them to 2.810 COAL and work your load up slowly checking for pressure signs and accuracy to find your velocity accuracy node(s). See our hunting targets :http://www.bergerbullets.com/vital-zone-hunting-targets/ to see where we recommend bullet placement for best results. Thanks for trying our bullets!
Take care,
