Berger .243 Win. 68 Grain Match Target FB

Just ordered a couple hundred of these to try for coyote hunting in my F4 Defense SFAR 10. I used to have great luck with the same bullet in the 17 caliber when they made it for my 17 Fireball. Can someone give me the load data sheet from the Berger manual or help me out with load data for Hodgdon powders such as Varget, Benchmark, CFE 223, H4350, H322, H380. paghuff@gmail.com

Yes thats 243. It cut off the top portion.
In my own experience bergers numbers have been on the low side on some cartridges ive tested. I have always worked up when testing. But its a starting point.

If there are powders that were not in this book that you are interested in, email berger and they will email you back with what i think is quick load data. They have done it with me several times.

Thank you.

Wierd is the max velocity at max loads is all under 3,500 fps. yet this bullet is loaded by Ally Munitions and they list it at 3,700 fps.

Thank you for posting this. It made me go look through load books I didn’t find your bullet but I found some interesting load data for h4831 that I just ran some tests on with one of my 243’s. GRT said it was to slow but they have it listed in the manual. I’m going to revisit it. Happy shooting. You should post some results for me and the other 5 people that still shoot 243’s

A lot of the newer cartridges hope to be a 243 when they grow up! It’s still an amazing cartridge!

I use the h4350 in my sons 243win and I use h4831sc I’m my 300wm. I thought it would be nice if I could get away with using one powder for both. When I did the tests I was using an old Nikon scope I had sitting in the safe but I concluded that it’s not tracking anymore so all my tests were questionable. I just have to swap scopes and do another test.
