I see something similar in my near futureI too was not satisfied with my B&C stock on the 700P I bought a couple of years ago. So before I took it up to Stick at S&S to get it re-barrelled and squared up I decided to modify the stock. Here are some pictures of what I did. So far I am quite happy with how it worked out.

Did you use fiberglass or just wood and bondo?I too was not satisfied with my B&C stock on the 700P I bought a couple of years ago. Just MDF and filler. Worked on enough boats and Corvettes in my lifetime to get it figured out. The hardest part was getting it all dead straight. Didn't take long to find out the original stock wasn't. It has held up very well so far. Stick clamped it in a vise and it didn't fall apart, so good to go.
Thank you Paul. Same back to ya. Your bolt work is awesome. I enjoy doing things that test the limits of my skills. Never know what you can do unless you try! Probably wouldn't try making parachutes though!
