Ernie The Gunsmith used to sell Accu-Risers for glass bedding over a vblock. All they are is 4 or 5 pairs of shims of different thickness that laid on top of the pillars of the vblock. This would raise the action slightly above the block. Then you can apply the bedding compound where ever you want. I tried it years ago and it worked pretty good. It doesn’t take much thickness to get off of the vblock and give you a little room for bedding. Not saying it’s good or bad, just another option. I see they’re not available on his website anymore but the article #6 he wrote about them still is. Good luck
