BC change on Berger Hybrid Target

Received a box of Berger 140gn Hybrid Target. P/N 26414.
My old box shows a G7 BC of .317 and the new box is labeled G7 BC .311

Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Thanks

Donny

Berger regularly reruns its tests and updates BCs.

The 6.5mm Target Hybrid is listed as seeing a 2% G7 drop form the earlier result. The sort of small change you're talking about here could be be down to a small increase in meplat size, or other very minor production change. (Other match bullet makers, notably Lapua have recently increased meplat diameters as it has been found that this improves manufacturing consistency and reduces production problems and loss of production. The meplat diameter is a key issue in ejecting the bullet from the nose-form die.)

Excellent response.

It's also important to note that the modest BC changes listed by Berger may not be much (if any) larger than might be expected due to lot-to-lot variation. I would not expect that the BC of different bullet lots would necessarily match to 3 decimal places, anyhow. Of course, it's easy for me to say that because the BC for one of my current Berger bullets of choice actually went up slightly :).

Donny,
There were NO bullet design changes. What caused the changes was due to advances in technology that have given us more accurate results in BC testing. That's all.
Take care,
