Barrel piece for stub gauge or widget 6mm

Hi folks,
Am looking for a 2 or 3 inch piece of 6mm rifle barrel to make a widget or stub gauge for 6mmbr Norma. Certainly am glad to pay plus shipping. Not sure where to post this. Thank you

It doesn't work that way.
You need a stub from your own barrel or one with an identical groove and rifle profile and dimensions as the barrel you are using. The least bit of difference will change your seating depth considerably.

Its the neck and shoulder portion of your chamber, usually made with the reamer that was used to chamber your barrel. Its about an inch or so long and squared on each side. I only use mine to check shoulder bump. Sinclair and Hornady sell bump gauges that do the same thing as a stub.

With a new barrel, they're also great for judging bullet seating depth.

It needs to be long enough to include the throat and a little more, but, until the throat on your rifle erodes, you can know exactly where your bullet ogive is in relation to the lands.
