What would be the approximate muzzle diameter if you cut the skinny side? I don't mind it getting a bit fatter and if you cut the other end that much would the diameter get too small to cut the threads?

Do you do AR-15 barrels? With Compass Lake no longer doing barrel work for individuals, the High power folks are short a good barrel maker. Mostly 223 20 in. service rifles (heavy) barrels and 24/26 match rifles barrels. Also some 6mm barrels. Mostly 1-7/8 twist. Lots of shooters replace their barrel yearly. I think there is a good market for this.
