Barrel changing??

Do any of you have a trick to cleaning the action threads prior to installing the next barrel? The scope is in the way on one side the stock on the other. Seems to me that I would want to make sure that they are as clean as possible. I've only switched back and fourth between a ppc and BR barrel twice and I'm still a little nervous about messing things up. It's a Hall RBLP.

No need to clean the action threads, just make sure the barrel tenon threads are cleaned, every time), and apply a good anti-sieze compound. Also make sure to wipe the barrel shoulder as well as the receiver face free of any grit. You don't wan't to gall these surfaces either. On a glue-in, I use a Q-Tip to clean the receiver face.

I always clean the action and barrel tenon threads. Spray them with brake cleaner, and an old toothbrush,no Colgate needed):). Remove any grit. Apply little moly lube to barrel tenon only and install.
