Barrel changing??

Do any of you have a trick to cleaning the action threads prior to installing the next barrel? The scope is in the way on one side the stock on the other. Seems to me that I would want to make sure that they are as clean as possible. I've only switched back and fourth between a ppc and BR barrel twice and I'm still a little nervous about messing things up. It's a Hall RBLP.

No need to clean the action threads, just make sure the barrel tenon threads are cleaned,every time), and apply a good anti-sieze compound. Also make sure to wipe the barrel shoulder as well as the receiver face free of any grit. You don't wan't to gall these surfaces either. On a glue-in, I use a Q-Tip to clean the receiver face.

I always clean the action and barrel tenon threads. Spray them with brake cleaner, and an old toothbrush,no Colgate needed). Remove any grit. Apply little moly lube to barrel tenon only and install.
