Listen to yourselves people! This is just not BoA, cancelling your account is the right thing to do, but this attack is way bigger then a p o s bank. This goes to the biggest threats that we have in our fight. We MUST take this to the voting booths this fall, WE MUST! We must understand and accept that our 2nd Amendments rights will continue to be eroded if we allow these gun haters back in power. WE ARE IN A FIGHT, PLANT YOUR FEET AND FIGHT!

Just had my VISA card "automatically" switched to BofA recently. Before we all go terminating and switching accounts, are any of the others, e.g.: Citi, State Farm, Barclay, etc., any better than BofA? All those financial "institutions" are pretty unAmerican ...

I was carrying a BOA Visa but no more after today, also my business which accepts about 4-6 cards a day will no longer accept there cards. We all need to make a stand on this. Its time to wake up the sleeping GIANT.

Sweet, what a great reason response from only one forum board. 4pages long in one day. I have a few phone calls to make, to let everyone know what is going on. I hope this hits them as hard as announcing they were going to charge customers for using a debit card. the great news is I just paid off a credit card with them yesterday! now, I can call and just cancel it completely and pull and R.J., and tell them where to stick it!!!!! I wonder if I get hung up on before they close it? should I time the phone call????

Folks that close or cancel accounts with BofA need to not just tell the person on the phone or branch why they are doing so, but they also need to write letters the higher ups at BofA. The person on the phone or behind the counter is not going to do that for you. Although you yourself might feel better it won't progress much further than that. We aren't going to change BofA's stance on this but we can at least make them understand WHY they are losing a large percentage of their customers. Realistically WE (firearms owners) are a majority of their daily business whether they like it or not. If we all left them they would crumble. My thoughts.

You know fella's those of you cancelling your cards is great but make sure you tell them why and how this all started,..because of a letter written by a notable and respected business man that had been doing business with the bank for years had his banking needs turned down solely because he has added completed rifles to his list of goods and because you are yourself a second amendment gun toting American and you no longer need BOA because of the way your fellow American's have been treated when BOA found out about there second amendment beliefs and cut them off,...Well now were all cutting you OFF!! If BOA has a web site, I am sure they do and if there is a comment section we should all band together and make our statements on there own site!!

I went to post and see Trental has basically said what I had to say while I was writing all this but I am posting this anyway

I don't know if this is the right site to use,..your thoughts please, we all need to band together and take this to BOA and not just this gun forum.

I have hated BoA since 1957. At that time I was working for them as a mail driver, taking inter-branch mail to the various banks and back to the main building. I was involved in a minor fender bender with the company car which was determined by the police to not be my fault. BoA fired me.
After being fired, to add insult to injury, they would bounce my checcks even though the money the money was there. >:( Every time I applied for a job, they'd make sure I couldn't get hired. If I did get hired, BofA would make sure I didn't stay employed. Being fired, I could not get unemployment insurance. In plain English, BofA tried to screw me every way they could, all for a minor fender bender. I was totally P.O.ed when the government bailed them out.
I finally went into the military and learned a good rade and BofA can forever kiss my rosy rusty dusty.

boa bought out countryside mortgage, henceforth they now own my mortgage and have been jerking me around for almost 2.5 years to get a remodification. After they got fined for 5 billion you would think they would tighten up. Its the same old game with them, stall after stall and then they convieniently lose your paperwork claiming you never started the process to begin with. They can go to hell for all I care.

That's a shame Jon, can you change banks or mortgage holders? or are you locked in?

Hell yeah!!!! Way to go McMillan USA!!! What a great company, and an American Company!!!! BoA, I hope you go out of business, and obviously you are supporting this Socialist President of our's, with that said, you may even be in bed with the United Nations.

Did you guys ever see this story on BofA??

I sold my BofA shares when I heard this news. Of course I had been considering doing that for some time, but this nonsense gave me additional motivation.

would it do any good to send , maybe a few thousands letters ( each of us one) to our repts. in DC to pressure them to be more vigilant of the "tax payer" money to bail "boa" out, or are most of them in bed with boa.

I know the senators of my state ( Virginia) march in step with the present administration, so it would probably be a clerk hitting the delete button on my e-mail.

the rept. of the house would be different. he would at least listen.

This looks like a good link to me and I sent them a nasty gram. I posted the first paragraph and a link to the daily bulletin on everything I have on the Internet as soon as I read it this evening. I did a search on Google and this story is on about every gun forum out there. It will be interesting to see if this makes on any news media but I doubt it. Maybe uncle Ted or Glenn Beck will pick up the story and blast it out there.

Just saw Nancy Pelosi discussing that she wanted the "Poor" to make more money so they could pay more taxes.........Background for the speech was a huge BofA Banner behind her. We have been duped with this stimulus package, like being obligated to the local Loan Shark.
