Hello Castaway , I dont keep ABU reels for parts that would fill my "Man Cave" so I try to search out the premium ABU reels. They can be found from collectors for a good price. What about your Mag Elites? They are the gold reels with the black mag adjust on the right side. Do you have the extra magnets that came with the reel?It's a 5600C. They were gifted to me. Never used them. Too slow

Spinning reels are for beginners or those wanting to cast far.
For bigger fish, bottom fishing, bass fishing in particular and general use the bait casting reel rules. It does take some practice and experience to use.
