On older annies 54's I had issues with ridges worn into the internal spring cavity of the bolt, binding the spring causing lite or ftf problems. New spring did not solve, so started looking deeper, discovered the above. polished out the ridges inside bolt ,resolved problem. Didn't have a bore scope at the time just a small mag lite and magnifying glass.
