Assault Weapons Ban of 2019 make its debut

There is no reasoning with the gun control advocates, because they don't want to be reasonable. They say they are, but we all know that what they say and what they mean are 2 different things. They just want our right to own a gun removed, plain and simple. They know that if they only take a little at a time they will eventually get it. Some guys will go along with some things, as witnessed on this very forum and that is dangerous to our rights. What we all need to do is flood our politicians with letters, emails, phone calls etc until they are sick of hearing from us. We need to vote and we need to educate our fellow shooters. We can't give anything up as it will only lead to losing more. We truly need to stick together as a group, all shooters, no matter what type of shooting we do. The guns that we shoot cross over into different types of shooting and so should our support for one another.

Indeed, if they had any intention of reducing crime, they would devote their attention to criminals, not sporting goods.
 
It is not about crime reduction at all . It is about votes and absoult power pure and simple.
Remove firearms from honest law abiding people . The piece of shit criminals will still be armed. Crime goes up. Politicians hire more police and law enforcement types as a need to put crime in check . Maybe even a new type of ABC agency. After all the me too and hash tag, pound me too shit all settles we will have already disarmed ourselves, leaving all the crooked politicians in absolute power.

It has always been "U.S. Constitution is outdated, behind the times" gun control makes the 2nd amendment the easiest to peel apart from the most profound government document ever written. A written promise from a countries founders that set the citizens of the most desirable place to live apart from the rest of the world.

You are correct, a broken record mentality and she just is locked on the "Assault Rifle" and never the criminal or capital punishment for anyone that murders another human. A total brain fog with just a picture of a "Assault Rifle" Sad.

In the end I'm not sure it will even matter.
Every time some nutjob commits a crime with a gun whether or not it's some small crime or a slaughter of innocent people, The gun is what is blamed. We all know this. Every single demonstration ,sit-in, take back the sight vigil, etc etc just puts more preasure on even a gun friendly politician. Until this country really wakes the truck up and properly diagnosis and treats he mentally ill it will only continue to downward spiral. Once we , as in us John q public American citizens disarm ourselves through blaming the gun, the nut jobs will just use a different means to commit thier deeds. The gun is just an easier access tool .
