Are you guys paying this much?

Have great sympathy for people coming into the shooting sports. The rest of knew this was coming and coming and could have prepared. I will excuse people that had life happen, and been selling stuff locally at the price I paid for it but that amount is finite. Heard last week that lead shot is getting to be in short supply, so I will be cutting loose some of my stock pile.

Seeing the comments about the pricing of shooting, fishing, and golf has made one thing very, very clear.
Ya'll ain't never owned any horses and/ or team roped, and it
In high school I learned to never pay entry fees for half of the winnings! My aunt helped me learn that lesson the hard way. The next summer I found out the entry fee at the Ben Johnson memorial in Pawhuska. Glad I had learned my lesson before that day.!

I honestly believe ol Larry has plenty of buying power to acquire goods at a reasonable price. He's marking goods up for higher profits.
Nothing wrong with that, more power to him. I wont be a customer by choice.
There's plenty of other suppliers selling the same goods that aren't taking advantage of the end user.
These folks are the ones that'll get my business.
And this is where the inquiry begins...Midway does not purchase the copper to mfg the product, the mfg does. That is where the translation of mfg price to the retailer/supplier comes in. What is that foundation. If Bc'z is correct, then the price translation would affect all retailers /suppliers. All would be on the same price scale. If in fact, other retailer/suppliers are at a lower price scale than Midway, that says something.

Nope , because I stopped buying months ago... I leave the overpriced stuff for the masses , I bought mine when it was cheap and nobody wanted it... The only thing I am shooting right now is skeet... Although I am seeing ammo on store shelves so I do believe it's starting to slow down.... There's still first time gun buying going on.... I watched two ladies picking out handguns together both scared to even touch them but the bought them....

Is this the way it is going to go with Berger bullets from now on, or is this Midway pricing ?
Think I usually pay way more than midway and I’m on notifications list for a few 6,5 Bullets. I end up going to gun broker and really pay a premium. Even though I have to pay too much I still enjoy it so much and I know at 70 I’m not taking it with me !!

I just took up golf again after about 6 years. Spend the last week searching for some used bargains. Bought a set of Mizuno mx300 irons with new grips and had them “reshafted”, Taylormade M2 Driver with new shaft and grip, Odesey putter with new grip, Couple wedges, Taylormade bag and a M2 fairway wood. Probably cost me what 5 x 100ct packs of 215gr Berger Hybrids would have cost me. If I sell my primers and maybe 1 or 2 tubds lf N560 I could buy a complete new Taylormade SIM set.

Prices are purting us out of shooting over here
