AR brass catcher — Recommendations?

Currently using a brass goat. Works great. You can use it without the detachable container, and the brass falls in a neat little pile.

So I've got a few of the netting types and none really do it for me. I modified one of them with magnets that attach to the ejection port door, but it's still a bit fiddly.

Just ordered one of the Brass Goat catchers, will pass along my findings if anyone is interested.

I have a Caldwell and it works ok. The deflector type looks pretty good to me. I don't run a lot of rounds through my Grendel. I shoot more for accuracy than just volume and I hate to chase those empties. Most people I see at the range just put up a pistol silhouette target at 100 and blaze away. If the Caldwell melts I'll probably try the deflector.

Recently received a Brass Goat and it is stupid simple and seems to be made to last. Also, made in USA. I will be ordering more for buds and s-i-l. Also signed up for the AR-10 version. Highly recommended.

I Put 100 .223 cases in my 3BUCC catcher and still had room for more. If you want to use it as a deflector just open the velcro on the bottom.

I guess I must be too simple minded to use the velcro and net bags. I have one and it is pretty much personally sidelined. As my net bag fills, the opportunity grows for a malfunction. I occasionally get brass hung half in the net with half in the bolt with the next round whether it's zipped or unzipped. Mine attaches with velcro around the forearm and that often twists enough to cause malfunctions if I try to use it on my truck/tractor gun to save my brass while working.

Brass Goat ends it all. And, I love it.

I've started using a brass goat over the last couple of months. For me, this purchase was a no-brainer. Keeps your brass from flying around and it gets less dinged up.

RE: Brass Goat
Will this work on an AR10?
Specifically, .308 Seekins SP10

Bummer, guess not...

Will Brass Goat Fit My Firearm?

Step 1
Assess your lower receiver. Brass Goat (BG15) is compatible with mil-spec AR-15 lower receivers.
