I would think a benchrest shoot for the AR is like a water-skiing event for submarines. So I know bench rest is primarily a bolt gun deal but with as popular as AR's are , is there any beach rest deal for them and other semi autos ?
Just wondering
My Aero Precision 6MM ARC holds 1/2" at 100 yards but with the bench rest 6MM Dasher holding a record at a bit more than 2" at 600 yards I'm not thinking there's room for many AR's at 600 yards.Well, after seeing what you guys can do with an AR, I think it high time I get out to the range again with mine and set it up for absolute best success. Mainly, using a mechanical front rest that is collecting dust, and affixing bag rider attachments front and rear. All previous shots were with a Harris bipod. My other ace up my sleeve is just to have my daughter shoot it...she gets more out of it than I can.
I don't remember what the grip is. The charging handle is anodized red. Its just an aftermarket piece, that has a extra large handle on it to make it easier to pull it back. What grip is that? And, is there something going on with the charging handle? It looks orange colored.
Years ago I built one specially for shooting score matches. Krieger 24 inch barrel, 9 twist, heavy barrel, 223. It shot some great groups and some great VFS scores! Unfortunately winning all the time had a serious boring effect on the competition!!! LOL!!So I know bench rest is primarily a bolt gun deal but with as popular as AR's are , is there any beach rest deal for them and other semi autos ?
