Ar 15 barrel at Urbarrifleman

If a customer shoots Speer 40 TNTs out of a wilson 20" 1:7, you will hear of it. You will also hear about how it looks like a gray laser pointer to the target.

I will await that day...

But after nearly 6 years of selling and making barrels from Wilson blanks, I have never heard that one.

Bradly,
Don't live it denial. It happens.
The thing is it requires several conditions coming together at the same time. In addition to what I mentioned above, the tightness of the bore and whether the lands are opposing.

I tell you the truth, I I really don't care if someone wants to shoot 40 grain bullets with a 7 twist and then complain if the bullet blows up.

I said what I said. As of today, I've not have a single customer report popcorn bullets.

“Popcorn bullets”:D:D:D I love it! You just coined a phrase, I think! Mind if I use it?

I am thinking about asking to carry the Wilson AR-15 stainless steel barrels. I'm thinking what I will do is use one single heavy contour underneath the hand guard with a standard gas length. Then I would order them at full length and then cut them to whatever length the customer wants and thread them.

Input?
This is a great idea.

The Wilson Arms Chambered/Finished .223 Wylde Barrels are really great barrels…..I must give them credit for their part in my 2023 NRA National Championship Win at Camp Atterbury. These two targets were in calm conditions… the barrel was awesome for about 2200-2300 rounds. Now it is just a good barrel that I use with new shooters.

Late to the party and haven't read the whole 9 pages, but 22" is legal for both NRA & CMP AR Tactical rifles. Yor might want to offer that length in .223 & 6mm - heavy contour. Definitely 1:7 twist.
