Anyone running a 17 hornet?

I have a m7 predator in 17 fb and it shoots just fine. Luck of the draw I guess.
Catshooter, I would rather have a FUGLEY SHOOTER than a pretty non-shooter.

Fugly shooters are like fat chicks - they can be good, but you don't want to be seen in public with them. ;) ;) ;)

Thanks guys! Sorry busy times over here!

Yes I already have 2x .222s so a 221fb would be a bit of a waste.

I don't really want to rebarrel the CZ because I'd like a varmint and the stock wouldn't take the profile and 17fb brass is like hens teeth. Also I really want this thing to be as quiet as possible and was hoping that the hornet would be quieter than the FB.

A 17wsm would probably fit the bill on paper but with crap ammo and rifles I'm not going to touch one!

17 hornet ammo is fairly well avaliable over here as well as dies and bullets.

Is the factory loaded ammo crimped in the primer pocket?

My other option is to build a 17-222 because my Smith has a reamer and I always have 222 brass on hand.

The Hornady I started with wasn't crimped but now form PPU 22 Hornet as the brass seems better and it also works out cheaper (in UK at least).
