Anyone recognize these barrel threads?

I rebarreled a Win model 70 push feed rifle a few years ago. The threads were 1.00"-16tpi. I opened them up to 1.062" O.D. to get rid of the interrupted cut threads. Rifle was originally a "Stealth" model.

My 1939 M70 has 1.00" 16 Tpi "v" threads on the barrel. Yes it's a pre-war (that's WW II for the young guy's).

wapiti, was that a typo? I wasn't there( CatShooter may have been) but I believe WW I ended in 1918 or 1919. Can't remember for sure.

PreWar Mod 70s were pre WW11. Quick identy was a clover leaf tang.

I've never worked on a Springfield '03 action, but didn't they have ACME threads?

Are they square cut or "V" cut? Winchester threads are square cut.

The Springfield has square threads. I am not aware of any factory rifle with Acme threads, although I have seen some custom actions threaded Acme. WH

You should see the bergara rimfire. M27x3. Looks like a leadscrew

That looks more like a flat-topped vee than an Acme, but I can't see the profile real well. WH
