Anyone done a .17BR

Just sitting at work daydreaming about my next gun project and thought about a 6BR necked down to 17. Seemed like it would really smoke em out there. Combine that with the inherant accuracy of the BR case, seemed like a P-dog/varmints worst nightmare. Just a thought. Anyone tried?

Go over to Saubier.com. You will get some feedback from several guys that shoot the 17BR. IMHO the 20BR,which I shoot) is about as small as I would go on the BR case.

Plus one on the 20BR, they are a PD's worst nightmare. A 17 doesn't have the barrel cubes to burn a lot of powder and no plastic tipped,explosive) heavy bullets to fit. If I had to have a hot 17BR I'd shorten the case or better yet shorten the PPC case.

the 17 BR has too much capacity for the bullets you will want to use. I shoot 30's out of several 17 caliber cartridges and it almost duplicates what the 17 BR will do will way less powder.
I shoot a 20 dasher, 20 PPC and many more and could not be happier. The 17's do very well with mid size cases like the .17 FB.
