I'd like to build an RV-14.

Here is what I do most hobby wise. I am a lead trumpet player in a community jazz band.

I wish I did more of this. This is from the fly only section of the North Umpqua several years ago. On a barbless hook......

Not much compared to a BUNCH of you Guys.
Did a little photography, taking and developing pictures.
Got into growing Bearded Iris. At one time I had over 2500 flowers growing. Even the Iris Society Judges said I did good. I loved it when I mentioned "I grew Iris" and I got the eye roll. Once they saw the garden, everything changed.
Collect U. S. "mint" stamps since I was about 12 years old.
Build accurate Rifles and SPs.
Got into making Quilts. More eye rolls till they saw what I did, THEN got LOTS of respect from some the older quilt making experts. Even had a few come to me for suggestions. That WILL boost your ego. ;)
Did street rods for a while but doing vehicle service and repair for 55+ years took the fun out of it. Rather drive than have to fix them.
Built a few BP guns but shipped the latest one (kit) out to someone that had more spirit to build than I did.
Live about 100 yards from the East Fork of the Russian River but havn't wetted a line in over 25 years. Even built a few fishing rods. With lots of things, it's called "priorities".
Almost forgot, did the Model Airplane building in my younger years then moved up to RC flying. Everybody died off or moved away so lone flying isn't much fun.
Kinda like shooting. Shooting buddies die off so shooting isn't much like it use to be.

I figured I could post some pics of a couple of my tanks. For me its not just the fish, it's also the plants. These are my underwater gardens. From rare epiphytic plants from Borneo to hybrid x-breds and laboratory grown in sterile environments from tissue cultures, all my tanks are planted. The fish is my buddy Carlos (ctenopoma acutirostre) he's wild caught from the Congo River in Africa, he's about 4 or so now. The big tank is his (along with 13 tank mates). I also custom build my own smaller tanks from acrylic.

Any body showing horses ?? We stabled a few Quarter Horse's
which the ex wife chased points in western pleasure and reining.
Different world. I shot every weekend with IPSC here in Pa. and
she and her girl friends would hit all the point shows in Pa and
Ohio. She ended up in Wyoming with truck and trailer, and I got
to keep all my guns.....
I used to ride and show 3 and 5 gated horses.

Yes especially when you drop $25 to $50k just on the engine!
Wasn't quite that much back in the late 70s early 80s unless you were a professional racer. Had a 1971 Hemi Challenger. Didn't do alot to it being Super Stock class. Head work, carb work, gears and suspension. Kinda wanted to keep it as close to factory as I could. Sleeper on the streets more or less. Spent plenty on just that but in the end the car brought 15 times the price I paid for it. Wish I still had it today tho.

I make jewelry and cut out coins with a hand saw. , I have a bunch of of things I have cut out. if you have something you would like done or something you like here hit me up. I can see what I can do. Jim

Cars, Trucks and Jeeps are my other hobbies. I build them and drive them. Sometimes to the Range which makes for the perfect day.

The Jeep has been in the stable for over 16 years and is still not done. This is the last dinosaur from all my builds and I will never sell it.

The M3 was the garage queen that was built for Car shows and has been sold. Fast car that was lots of fun in mountains.

The FJ45 was my favorite truck build ever. I wish I would have never sold this one but a guy made me a crazy offer and everything had it's price at that point in my life.

Cheers,

Jim

I miss the 3 wheelers... i had the Honda 200x with the white tank and red fenders... I loved it when it snowed...
Now that brings back memories. I drove 3 hours in the start of a snowstorm to pick up my, 30 over cylinder at the performance shop. Got it home and in went the Wiseco piston, DG cam, DG pipe and paddle tires. Spent the rest of the night tearing up the town.
