Any testing with the 6BR 40deg shoulder?

Each 3 are the same "test". The results are usually tight so I double up to have more concrete data. Looks like the blue was best on vertical both times.

Tom,

It definitely looks like the BR AI will hang with the dasher. I'm not sure what your brass life will be at those velocities, it'll be interesting to know though.
Can you give details on what loads were used for the targets during today's test?

Thanks for the updates.

James,

I just took 31.1 from last week's results. Wall these were just off the lands and 31.1 on fireformed only brass. H4895/400's/103 vapor trail.....AS ALWAYS LOL!

Tom

Thanks, that looked like it was a really nice node based on your last test and today proved so as well. Good luck and let us know what your case life will be if you would. I'm not sure who's reamer design you went with but I know on mine when I got up in that velocity range my extractor grooves swelled to the point the cases wouldn't fit into my shell holders any longer.

I'll post more later when I get home. The br Ackley will for sure hang with the best dashers all the way to 1000! I shot 9 5 shot targets today while testing some "stuff". 1 went 4.5, but the biggest in the other 8 was 3.7. I'll make more sense of it all when I get back to town.

Tom
Yes, they sure will hang in there. Joey

Has anyone tried N135 with this cartridge? I am having a barrel(s) fit for this and want to have a few different powders to work with. Currently have Reloder 15 and 4895 on the list.

FYI,
I have been told that Harrells has no problem taking .080" off their dasher dies for the 6brai. I have been recommending the D2.5 or D3 for my reamer.

Tom, i need to get some round through it, so the velocity will stabilize. It shot an .069 today so All in all it is a good 600 round any how. ..... jim

For you guys that test like this, when you start with a new barrel, and it speeds up after a while, do you find that it's only the velocity that you need to maintain to stay in tune? Or are you constantly tuning as time goes by?
