Any readers out there??

For some reason I just can't do the audio books. I have about a 45-minute drive to one of my shops and the same back home, but I just can't get into the audio.

I get that. It took me a while to get used to them. Narrators are the big difference. Some narrators are like listening to a dripping faucet. Others can change their voices incredibly well for reading different characters.

Some audio books even produce Radio Series type stories with multiple narrators and sound effects, so it's like listening to Radio Dramas back in the 1950s.

I realized I liked to read when I was in college, and found the Hobbit and LOTR series! It turned out it wasn't that I didn't like to read after all, just never read anything that really hooked my imagination. Things changed after that. Used to read a lot of Dean Koontz, and some Stephen King, but now I like a whole different genre of novel.

Some favorite authors currently are C.J. Box, Lee Child - Reacher books, David Baldacci, Stephen Hunter, Brad Taylor and Brad Thor, the Mitch Rapp series, The Gray Man novels by Mark Greaney, Nick Petrie, Marc Cameron, Ken Follett, Jack Carr, to name some recent books.

I love to read, usually last one to two hours of the night, I can get into a book, and leave the politics and issues of the world aside. Gets my head ready for bed. I have not gotten into listening to books yet, as reading a physical book, in my recliner, is good for my head and heart. If I traveled a lot, I would definitely try it.
