Any news on the Lapua 100gr 308 target bullet (Sniper Game) for my local club

Was wondering about a very slow twist 308 (17Tw) shooting the new 100gr Lapua 30cal. Would be a gamegun for 100 yd reduced 300 and 600 yd targets. Local guys call it their sniper match at my local club, 10 rnds on the 300 reduced and 10 on the 600 reduced shot at 100for score. Simplest would be to shoot my 30 BR, but the whining could be great, so I thought about a shorter throat 308 load. All shot single shot in 20 second intervals, load 1 round and fire within 20 seconds, wait 20 seconds for the next shot for 10 rounds a bi-pod or bag, no rear support other than your balled up sling or maybe a glove or mitt. Would not mind trying it, sounds fun.

Any thoughts on it

Just thinking ?

Not that I know of, I would prefer to use my 30BR, but they prefer a truer sniper round, such as a 308 or 300 win mag, They whine when someone shoots a 223.

I agree, I have a new 300 mag that was built by one the best of the US, and it has never been shot as of yet. Not going to use it for the fun sniper match. The 30BR would be the ticket, I just don't want to hear the whining. If the folks that place at the top every time would get beat with a 30BR, it would be bad for sure.

The reason for the slow twist 308 and the light bullets.
