Any luck with 105 gr pills and a 1-9.25 twist in a .243 Win?

Has anyone had luck with 105 gr pills and a 1-9.25,or even a 1-9 twist) twist barrel in a .243 Winchester?

Came across a sweet deal for an assortment of 105 gr 6mm bullets. Comprised primarily of Berger 105 gr VLDs, with a mix of AMAX's and JLH's.

I have a 1-8 twist .243 barrel as well but I leave that for the 115 DTAC and Berger VLDs.

Going by Greenhill's formula, a 105 gr bullet at 1.220' in length, average, before trimming the meplat) traveling @ 2800 fps at the muzzle needs a 1-8 twist. I reduced the number to 1.15' and the formula allows for a 1-9 twist.

Guess I should just load a few up......unless someone here tells me not to bother.

TIA

Take care,

I've shot 105amaxs, horn hpbt, Sierra 107s, Berger 105vlds, berger 108s, and nosler 105s thru 2 factory Remington 243 9.25 twist barrels and all shot well. Shot them from 1800' - 6000' elevation.

In my experience with the 243 factory twist barrels and heavier bullets they seem to work better at or near max loads.
Agreed, as long as they're faster than a 10" twist. But there is always weird exceptions. I had a 243 Savage 9.25" twist and it shot just as good or better at 2,575 - 2,600 fps than at 2,900+ fps. 22" bbl.
600 ft elevation and it was below freezing when I tested them in that barrel with H-4831sc, Win. brass and 210m sparks.
