Any info on seeking sponsors

As the title says I'm looking for how a person approaches the idea of finding a sponsor.
A little background.
We've been shooting the 600 meets locally for two years, and want to do more.
I recently purchased 2 savage 12F's in 6mm br, and I and my wife are both disabled. I have back issues, and believe it or not my wife is legally blind. Even with her limited vision she is already winning competitions, so much so we are being told to do more matches because of how well we are doing after only 10 weeks with the new rifles.
Being we are disabled we are on a fixed income, and are looking for ideas on how to find funding so we can do more.
So any advice would be great.

Put a presentation together describing who you are, what you've done, what you can do for them, and what you expect (hope) they will do for you, whether it's a service, products, entry fees or other. Submit this to the "sponsors" you'd like to help you in your endeavor (in person,video,letter,etc.) then WAIT. I do it every year for FAS classes.
