Hello everyone
11 weeks ago I bought myself and fiancé matching savage 12f's. So far we've been having a wonderful time shooting them at both the range and at matches. Yes we have much too learn and me constantly pushing to learn more, and reach even higher, well let's say 2.5"-3" groups at 600 yards is nice I would like to do better.
I've been doing more research on Bullets and really can't seen to find out a lot about up to date info on Bullets, or evidence to change bullets.
I've started a second ladder test on charges using varget, and plan on validating that again next week as my current load of 10.8 grains might be improved.
I have the bullets on the lands, and today 11.4 gr showed improvement. But I'm wondering if changing bullets to the Bergers may be advantageous.
This is where I'm asking for any and all help people out there can offer, and any knowledge on the subject would be great.
Thanks in advance for any and all help you can give me.

Both bullets are good. I have shot great groups with both at 1000 yards. I also shot both bullets in the lands. Is your charge weights something besides grains? I shoot between 33 to 34 grains of Varget in a Dasher. Matt

I'm pretty much the same as Matt.

I used the two interchangeably with the same Varget & N540 loads & (don't tell anybody) the same setting on my Wilson 6BR seating die. I molied & jumped mine.

Sorry to Hijack OP Post, but wanted to ask Matt a quick question, I've just switched to the 107's now due to availablilty, what speed are you getting from the SMK's

Thanks again

I think he has a 6br.

I have a Dasher so I get a little more. My first one was a real slow barrel and could only get a little over 2900. That should be obtainable in some 6BR'S. It didn't seem to matter the speed as long as it was tuned to the barrel. I have shot them good at 2900 all the way up to 3050. Matt

Sorry gentelmen it was late when I posted this, and a long day ugh. My loads are 30.8 and my new test load showed 31.4 sorry for the confusion.

Just a word of caution here, be careful with that load. That's a good bit of Varget for a 6BR especially the factory guns you are shooting. Might have a slow lot of Varget.

I will thx's. I got the original load of 30.8 from a person who use to consult for savage. So far that load has been working great. After a good deal of thought, I'm going to work on my technique since that seems to be the weak link. So much to learn
