If it had a Monte Carlo stock it was not a 54MS unless being a very custom rifle.
Anschutz Match rifles don't come with Monte Carlo stocks. They come with silhouette, position or benchrest stocks.
You can tell a 54 Match action easiest by both action screws being in front of the trigger blade. Another method is trigger identification. Another is the bolt face.
If it is a repeater it is possibly but not likely a Match rifle. They made very few 54 Match repeaters. The ones they made were generally Biathlon rifles.
To sell more rifles Anschutz says their Sporters (repeaters with Monte Carlo stocks for example) are based on the 54 Match action, which causes a lot of confusion.
The receiver is different, the trigger is different, the stock is different, and the bolt is different...Tom

As it turns out the gun I was asking about isn’t a 54MS, it’s a 54 Match with a 26” barrel.

That's a 1407, likely from the late 1970s, and with sights is worth $920. I've seen them bring more and less.
Depending on the use, the stock is less than ideal unless is it used as intended (3 position shooting) which folks don't do much anymore. It is the smaller version of 3P rifle, albeit still big and heavy, probably 10 or 11 pounds as shown...Tom

Yes. If it's complete with iron sights, probably even a little more.
