Another Shooters World powder question

So I have read several things saying that this Shooters World powder is the same as this Accurate powder, for instance SW Blackout is the same as Accurate 1680 or SW Match Rifle is the same as Accurate 2520. So would it be safe to use Accurate load data with the corresponding Shooters World powder or am I reading into this all wrong.

Don't know about Accurate powders but i'm sure it's supposed to be Lovex powders. I've not seen those powders on this side of the border though.

Yes it's Lovex powder but their load data isn't very broad either, at least not for the cartridge and bullets I want to load. Like a 110gr vmax and SP in .300 blackout.

Accurate ball powders used to be made by Lovex. When Western Powders bought the Accurate line that ceased. Data for Accurate powders is all over the place because at different times it has been made in places as diverse as Czech Republic, Israel, and even China.

SW Match is roughly equivalent to AA2520. That's about as close as you can get to a comparison. Even if you could get some data that you knew was from the days when AA2520 was made by Lovex, there is no rule that says thier powder is the same today as it was then.

If you go to Shooters World site and get the Lovex equivalent powder, then use Lovex load data you have more options. The Match Rifle is D073-06. SW has about 6 cartridge loads, Lovex about 15. There are also different cartridges between the two, so maybe 17 cartridges covered.

If you have Quickload, many of the Lovex powders are listed. Sometimes you can move between Lovex and Accurate and have the same estimates, sometimes not. Starting at the low end would generally be safe. My experience has been the SW powders seem like a hot batch of the Accurate powders, needing to back off a bit.

It’s hard to beat 296/H110 for 110 grain bullets in Blackout. The Shooters World Heavy pistol will come close, but it is closer to AA#9 and you can’t quite get the velocity before topping out in pressure.

The Socom may be worth a try, but I have not used it yet.
