Simple physics but it doesn't apply. The cooling rate of the entire case body is very rapid and anything below the shoulder never reaches anywhere near an annealing temp. The whole case is simply cooling and the rate is meaningless.You're right on both accounts. I'm not sure how you read anything like that into what said??? ¯\_(ツ)_/
My point was about heat dissipation, that the heat that does get to the body and case heat will dissipate at a different rate when you add the mass of the primer to the case head.
