Annealers are like other things in this sport. Just like personality‘s .
some like the fast and easy bells and whistles route an money is no problem.
then you have DIY guy that gets his trill from doing it himself and the money he saves he can spend on something else. In the end they both can do the job
Sooo are you a Bells and whistles guy or the DIY guy

Ugly annealer is wonderful. I get that Annealez is American made and ugly annealer copied the design. But my first annealeez was packaged poorly, had bent corners from shipping, then gave me problem after problem. Went ugly annealer after that and it is sooo much better.

A few more options than expected. AMP is out of my price point & the one I really wanted. Perhaps Ill regret it though I settled on the Ugly annealer as I just liked the name

No, in truth the concept is very similar to old school. Though once set up for a given cartridge, I can load up the hopper w a hundred cases & let her buck & move on to another task. doubt Ill run her 2hrs, per year.

I feel weak with electronics at times & if the induction system was in need of troubleshooting, I am skeptical as to how I would do, troubleshooting.

I think you will really like the ugly annealer. I love how the torch head is clamped to the unit. No worry about bumping the propane bottle and throwing everything off. I use mine probably 3-4 times a month. Easy to setup and small footprint to store.

I wouldn't really call the ugly annealer a copy of the design. They both use a wheel to feed cartridges and a wheel to spin the cartridges, but the hopper, mechanics and geometry is different between the two.

It's like calling a savage a copy of a remington. For what it's worth the ugly annealer is an aussie design. However unsure where it's manufactured.

Fair. I’ve just heard people say that. All I know is the ugly annealer works awesome for me.

My loading room is in the house, and with all the primers and powder I have stored there I just wasn't comfortable with an open flame. I bought an Annie and really like it. It takes a bit of fiddling with TempiLaq to get the right setting, but then it's ready to rock. The price isn't huge and it's very reproducible. It takes 1.2 seconds to anneal a .223 case and 2.3 to do a .338 Lapua (I use a flux concentrator water-cooled coil), so it's fairly fast. I hand feed cases and that works well; the automation would have increased the price too much, and once I've annealed my stash I'll be able to keep up with the volume I shoot fairly easily.

Until January of this year, I used a candle and my fingers. Worked surprisingly well. It was all I needed for my hunting and cast bullet loads.

I got the Ugly on Amazon and it works great. The EP2.0 looks a little nicer but it lacks a hopper, that was a deal breaker for me.

Been annealing old school for a lot of years now. Doubt I load 800 rounds per year. Been looking at buying in to a system. AMP looks good just not cost effective for my volume IMHO.

EP 2.0 is looking worth considering as a step up from old school.

Anything else a low volume individual should consider?

Been running the Annie for the last two years and I am very satisfied with the consistency and results. IMHO I believe that it will certainly fill the bill.

I purchased the EP 2.0 around father's day. It seems pretty simple and all I really need. It's now on sale for $238 including shipping.

I used the electric induction for a year, it worked but was slow and tedious. I recently with the AGS, bottom line model @ 210 delivered. Setup and running in 15 minutes, I really like it, much faster and more consistent, you need to do some adjusting but once you get it set, it works. I would recommend the riser or be a DIY and fashion something to give more space for the finished brass. I am very happy with it.
