Cheaper than dirt wants over 800 bucks for a case of a 1000. If this is true it would be advisable to avoid till this corona bologna garbage ends.

Cheaper than Dirt was probably the biggest price gouger of them all during the .22 ammo crisis of a few years back. I stopped buying from them then, and will never buy anything from them again.

Having said that, though, they want $800 for a case of 1000 what? Whatever it is I'm not buying any.

While you guys were on the forum, I paid my friend and dealer a visit. Bought his last 8 pounder of H4895 and 5000 rounds of rimfire, so the grandkids have something to shoot. Also ordered 5000 CCI 450 primers. I tell myself I am good, but the communists never cease to amaze me.

He told me that rimfire was is about to go up and gun sales is skyrocketing. When he phones into the state background check office the line goes dead after 1 hour. He has not gotten on since last week, with multiple tries.

Go to cheaper than dirt which should change their name to Cheaper than Platinum.

Cheaper than California dirt perhaps, but not much. A new store opened in town just as a big box sporting good store was closing up. I went in on opening day, everything was way overpriced. Then they had straw buyers going to Cabela's and buying Savages on sale and putting them on the shelves with a hefty markup. They were out of business after only 6 months.

Were they trying to sale those Savages as new? Cabelas gets models specified for them only (10T for example).

Yes they were, and I saw new, off the shelf model 12FV's sitting on the rack in another nearby retailer marked up to $600 and being sold as new. Both these retailers could not get enough stock through normal channels during the panic buy days.

there's a place like that in Boise, Cliff's Reloading. During the obammy primer "crisis" he was asking, iirc, $65 for 1000 Federal 215's.

I have 4 5-gallon buckets full of once-fired (range) commercial brass in 9mm, and about 1.5 buckets of 40 S&W. And, enough cast bullets, primers, and powder to reload all of them.

I'll never fall behind or run out again....after the last debacle I'm holding tight to my tidy bit of ammo and reloading components!

These bastids were famous for price gouging during the Obama sales. $80.00 for box of .380acp as I recall....
In my opinion, it's their product to price as they see fit. That certainly doesn't mean that I have to give them any of my business, though.

I too remember their Obama-era gouging. I agree it's their product and they can charge what they like, but I'll find other hobbies before I pay their predatory prices. I will never do business with them.

I will always remember what my grandfather said: "there's a difference between making a living and making a killing."
