I believe they were sued earlier this year for price gouging.
At first I didn't understand how there could be regulation against 'price gouging'. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. But then I went a little deeper and found out (in Texas) that the regulation is for 'essentials' and additionally to help protect the elderly.
But ammo isn't 'essential'. (well, maybe in Texas...ha ha) So I don't see where price gouging regs apply. I copied this from the Texas Attorney General's website:
- Selling or leasing fuel, food, medicine, lodging, building materials, construction tools, or another necessity at an exorbitant or excessive price;
or - Demanding an exorbitant or excessive price in connection with the sale or lease of fuel, food, medicine, lodging, building materials, construction tools, or another necessity.
