For pure brass storage (no bullets) i use a slip top 45acp box. Its a 50rd box. Hinged lid wouldnt work, these are very compact and store easily with nicely squared off sides

I used the MTM box marked specifically for the 17 Hornady Hornet. Ten different loads, five rounds each, different powders and different amounts, all labeled for 'load work up'. The box was to tall, the bullets fell out of their holes and got mixed. All the same length, all the same bullets, no bullet puller collet. I knew I was safely under the max so I shot them at gophers, all were "minute of gopher", but I didn't know which were the tightest shooters. I resized the brass, primed, back in the MTM box. I cut a piece of foam rubber to fit in the top of the box to hold the brass in place. When the time came to start reloading, the brass was corroded on the base around the primer, get out the tumbler and the walnut media. It cleaned up OK. Now card board is in the top of the boxes, everything is loaded ready for warm weather and the range. But, I'm still were I was a year ago, and I still need 17 Hornet brass.

I use Franklin 7.62x39 cases for both 6.5 Grendel and 6 ACR. They work really well.

I use the R-100 MTM.

Me too. For 6br (which is too short) I buy 10mm craft wood blocks from Amazon and drop one in each cavity with a little glue. Takes only a few minutes sitting in front of the tv. Let dry a few days or use CA for instant bond.

Sounds silly but it really works.

Then the round sits at the correct height.

Another good box that hasn't been mentioned is Berry's. I have been using Berry's for my smaller cartridges for awhile, also use MTM for small stuff and used them when I shot short range BR for both 6BR and 30BR. If you are loading for long range the 22-250 box might be required. I really like the newer boxes, regardless of brand, that have actual hinged tops.

I use the rss 50 for 6br. I put foam in the top of the box. I load at the house and seat bullets at the range or match. Knock on wood, I haven't spilt a single kernel of powder. You just have to watch which foam you use. Some types of foam the powder sticks to.

You should seat them longer and then reseat at the range

I like handles. R100 i put foam in the bottom of the holes, i cut it with a sharpened 45 case.

I know… an old thread…but, I like this idea and would add that the MTM P-100-44 100 round case works great for 6BR brass…

The tray in the R-100 box can be rotated 90 degrees which raises the tray. When you do that, BR cartridges can be stored bullet up and easily picked from the box at the range.

I like the MTM boxes a lot, but I have to mention the Clamtainer Ammo Buddy clamshell style containers.

They're light, clear, inexpensive, and you can pack more bullets in less space than the MTM boxes.

Also, when I received one that had a small manufacturing defect, they didn't just send me a replacement, they sent me five new ones! Customer service like that is kind of rare these days.

I use the MTM 100 and also found that trying to pull a case up by the neck or rim was a PITA, so I siliconed 1/2" OD X 1/4" tall spacers into the bottom. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174391082824

For cases only (storage during case prep before loading) I’ve found that the MTM P-100-44 works perfectly.

The MTM RSS-50 works perfectly for 50 loaded rounds.

The simple flip top RM-100, like you say, leaves the case flush with the top… I was going to add foam or wood blocks like you suggested before finding the P-100 case above. Perhaps I’ll get some spacers so I can use the RM-100 without frustration…

Old thread but.....Buy Alpha brass and you get a great box with
them for free. My Peterson brass comes in real nice usable boxes.
