Are you sure you didn't accidentally login to amazon .co .uk ? it will let you do that. One of the reasons even if I find something via a search, I always type in the url and not click on links.

I’m using the US site. I was in Canada last summer and got bumped into the Canadian version. Caused all kinds of problems when I got home.

i ordered a couple 1/4-28 dies and a die stock off them once. total cost was 7 dollars plus change. it didnt take long but they were shipped from China. at least thats where return address was. mabie they were in warehouse here. dies were not any good anyway. Ive quit buying off amazon this past year and hope to keep it that way,

It wasn't free shipping. You paid for Prime. That is basically a yearly shipping charge.

These days, when I want something slightly obscure (or a non-branded item) I'll find it on Amazon and then go to Temu or Ali and order from there. Same crap, different label (and of course different shipping times).

I’ve learned to check the country of origin way down on the description page for anything Amazon. They may still be in a warehouse here but at least you know where it came from..

I've ordered from Amazon and often times it is next day delivery. One time it was same day delivery. As a prime member it is free shipping and these are only 10 to 25 dollar items. I think Amazon is on track to take over from UPS and Fedex as the worlds logistics solution provider. They already own a fleet of airplanes.

1957 Model Toro commercial mower with 9HP Briggs--had it on trailer went to an Old Toro dealer--they looked for 45 minutes on computer and through every old catalog they had for a Carb kit--No dice--the serial number pads were on mower and engine
came home looked on Amazon ( this is Sat afternoon by now) Kit arrived next day --was Perfect quality carb kit for under $5!! That guy deserves to be stinking rich--I Love me some Amazon!

I am a big believer in preventing government from dictating what a given business can sell and who they can sell it to. Jeff Bezos can sell all the nipple rings, skinny jeans and dildos he wants to whomever he wants. He also happens to sell some stuff I consume like fishing gear. For firearms I go to people who specialize in firearms. I'm OK with the choices he makes and the choices I make. The alternative is a slippery slope.
