ALWAYS TAKE CARE

I've bought plenty of reloaded ammo or pre-primed brass. I'll tear them down and separate out the primers. Then next time I'm fire forming or loading plinking rounds I'll use those primers and prime by hand. 100 percent of the time when they are loose it has been an issue with the primer and not the brass for me. I always resize 'ready to load' brass since running into some that don't chamber.

There is another type of brass sales that some/maybe most reloaders are unaware of!! So far, the discussion is on new brass, new primed brass, once fired reconditioned brass, and once fired reformed and primed!!!

2 years ago, the shooting/reloading world was still in an economic imbalance with low SURPLUS of brass, primers, powder, and bullets with DEMAND for those products being high!! The prices of those products shot up very quickly!! I had just purchased 2 new firearms in April 2023!!! I could not find new brass, primers, powder, and bullet selection was slim!!! I ordered NOSLER, primed, demilitarized new brass!!! I also found powder, but it was not the best selection for those new rifles!!

I deprimed and sorted the salvaged new demiled brass!! Out of 500 cases, I had 60 that were useable with minor dings and dents!! Those 60 cases allowed to test one time fire forming at .5 grains less than pressure indicators of the brass/primers and break in the barrel!! That brass also helped find the velocity of the nodes!! I paid dearly for the right powder, primers, bullets, and new brass!!! The new brass is now being fire formed by using up the reclaimed primers, cheaper unwanted powder, and demiled bullets!!! Those fire formed rounds are for plinking and tuning my shooting skills!!

Now, I have one rifle tuned with the desired components and the other rifle is being tested while completing the fire form process!! I can't wait for the day of peace and the reloading component supply return!!! We are getting there!! Hopefully we all can start seeing prices drop on these products in the near future and see the shooting world thrive again!!

Wow!! Josh, you run the inter web with the crazy skills of a phone addicted teenager. Don't be surprised if ya start getting IT questions from some of us technotards. :D jd
I’m a fiend when it comes to researching gun stuff. The trick is to keep rephrasing your Google search until you find what you want. Sometimes you just find a clue and you follow it.

“I think it's that new company, First Breach, but have not confirmed it yet.”
Evidently, he’s still lost.
