9MM BRASS STICKING ON DIES

When I had my 650 I loaded thousands of 9mm rounds and never ever had a problem. I also believe your brass is too clean. I never even used lube. Only Carbide dies and tumbled in walnut media for a short time.

Cant the walnut or corn media get used and dirty ? There by adding a fine powder residue to the "clean" cases ?

Yes the media gets dirty but the dirt is retained by the media. I use ground corn cob media and Brasso. I keep a "wet" batch with the Brasso on it and a "dry" batch for the final polishing. When the wet batch gets too dirty I pitch it and use the dry batch with the Brasso. You can buy ground corn cob in 50 pound bags.

A little carbon on the inside of the shell is a good lubricant. Wet cleaning actually makes the brass too clean and that is what causes the expander to stick in the case.

I tried Brasso many years ago then I started getting split cases. Changed over to NuFinish car polish and haven't looked back. No ammonia in NuFinish to harm the brass.

Nufinish, Turtle wax, mineral spirits, lucas brass polish all work a great additives, although I think the mineral spirits may have broken down the media faster than others.

Adding dryer sheets to the dry tumbler help to collect fine dust as well if you're concerned about that.

I'm on the case lube wagon! I have always used it on my pistol brass and have had no issues. As said above, cant hurt anything. One shot makes it easy.
