Depends on the bullet you are using.Maybe someone can confirm this but I was told that the new alpha brass measures .269 loaded round and it should work in a .272 neck chamber.
sounds good but why should a person need to do that alpha needs to adjust things a little.I was having hard bolt lift with Alpha 6 bra brass. I put the brass in a cordless drill and spun it using green scotchbrite to scuff it for a second or two. All pressure problems went away. Night and day difference. It has worked for others also
Ive not had problems with Alpha BRA but I did notice something while prepping 200 new cases This week. There is some sort of finish coating or something on this new brass. I don’t recall a “film” on my first 200 where Ive had no problems. Won’t be shooting this brass for awhile but I will do a test. Maybe 0000 steel wool or schotchbrite is the answer. BTW all measurement from this new lot are exactly the same as my first lot.I was having hard bolt lift with Alpha 6 bra brass. I put the brass in a cordless drill and spun it using green scotchbrite to scuff it for a second or two. All pressure problems went away. Night and day difference. It has worked for others also
