Damn. 31-31.2View attachment 1225867
These are 3 shot groups at 100 yards with the 6BRA Alpha brass. This is a new barrel I just start working with. Exercising the brass I went hotter then I normally would and no problems. No heavy bolt lift, no click, and no donuts.

103 Hammers and yes it’s an .080 flash hole. My guess is we may not need magnum primers with the larger Flashhole. But that’s just a wilda$$ Guess. No proof yet. What bullets are you using there..... .080 flash hole?..... jim

I’d say the magnums will be fine to.Interesting. I hope not, I finally found 2 cases of CCI400 primers. Don't have many 450's, they never shot as well with my Lapua brass. I've got 300 pieces of Alpha I'm gonna try in a PRS gun this year. I'll let Tom test it in his bench guns before I dive in![]()

I just realized I read your post wrong. I thought you said you may need magnum primers. Oops.I’d say the magnums will be fine to.
So you are saying it has a chance?? Haha. I’d say 30.00 is where I’d be
So tell me how you get a primer pocket uniformer in them? I used a depth mic and they need to be done. Nice brass other than that one issue.... jimAlpha is in Salt Lake City. I went there last week and picked up a couple hundred 6BRA cases. Good people, and very willing to show someone their operation. It's not large, but the machines are impressive. Represents a quite substantial commitment and investment. You don't just go down to the brassmaking-machine store and buy those things, they're engineered and then built according to real tight spec's. As you can imagine, there's not a big demand for them. Tom was happy to show me their machines and how they work and the steps in how they make brass. Very interesting. Any other customer would receive the same treatment. The brass is beautiful. My remage nut barrel is set with about .003-.005" crush on a new Lapua case. This Alpha brass and fired cases headspace identically on the Whidden gauge, I like that. So far I've not shot any, only put some loads together. The primer pockets are very tight with BR4's, and I like that too. I expect the stuff will be just outstanding.
Push harder...So tell me how you get a primer pocket uniformer in them? I used a depth mic and they need to be done. Nice brass other than that one issue.... jim
