i am working up loads for a 6x47 lapua 1-14 twist richard franklin creation but am in short supply of vv 540 and can't get vv150 or 550. have plenty of varget which is doing well with velocity and accuracy. using 62-70 grain bullets have been using 2000MR alongside varget and my diminishing vv540. the findings: 2000MR is slower than vv540 and mayube vv550. 70 gr bergers go 3700 with 41.9 of 2000MR ,and 3790 with 41.5 of vv540. a recent article stated this powder's speed is "between rel 15 and rel 17". my impression is closer to rel 17. accuracy has been equal to groups shot with both varget and vv540. last testing done in 36 degrees. am using cci 450 primers. how will it do in a fast twist with heavier bullets? just my 8 cents..inflation, you know.
if i can see you, i can touch you.BANG!
