6 brx powder?

I am getting ready to be done with fireforming now and have to pick out a powder to try. My question is, what is the best all around powder? Cleanest, the best Accuracy. I'm not all about speed. I know about varget, but is there something better? Like vv540 or h4895? Rl15 is very dirty.

Josh,
I have come to the conclusion to give all my RL-15 away, it is the filthiest powder I have ever used bar none! Varget is a top choice and so is H-4895, I just read the other day that N-140 was working good in the Dasher and BRX I have been thinking on trying some of the Ramshot powder in my 6brx.

I shoot Varget almost exclusively but my brother has very good luck with VV140. It give very good speed and accuracy in his BRX.

Varget has been the best hands down for me. I have tried Re-15, H-4350, VV-550, N-160, IMR-4895, IMR-4198, H-8208, W-748, W-760, and others.

I fireform with 30.gr Varget with 105s or 107s jammed .035". I shoot this load out to 600 yards. Accurate enough for matches. I shoot 32. to 32.6 at 800, 900, and 1000. I seat touching or jamed .010 on fire formed loads. Trim and anneal every 3 loading. I am shooting a 32.25" 1:8 5R barrel on 3 different 6BRXs all shoot 3020-3080 fps.

varget. but im interested in a RL17 load to try out.
twoodard,
The rl-17 is fast but your ES will be to high and vari too much if your shooting LR or at least it was in my 6brx, 6Dasher, 6XC, and 6*284, to a lot of guy's that last bit of speed is the most important thing, I spent years trying to keep my 22-250's shooting tight groups consistently and finally accomplished it when I quit trying to have a 4000 fps rifle and setteled on a 3500-3600 fps rifle,JMHO's ;)

bullet weight and twist will somewhat dictate which powder. for whatever reason, my 8 twist kreiger prints one hole with 68 bergers and varget. went to vv150 because i could fill case near base of bullet and...wow, another one hole but more importantly for wind bucking..more speed. guns ARE like women...you think you know what to expect, sometmes you are right and sometimes you get surprised. if treated with respect, kindness and attention, you usually get what you wish from both.

;D :D ;)

Varget works for me as well in the 6BRX. I jam the moly coated 107SMK`s with 33.5gr and get very good results.
