Bill -Finally got around to the tuner test with the 135 gr. Berger LRHT bullets today. Setting 10 was middle ground for this load. Verifying two groups back to back in the ones. Chrono #s are fantastic for this load. I think it is ready for 300 and 600 yd. checks.

Thank you for keeping this thread updated. I’ve enjoyed reading the progress. I am about to build my first 25 cal and I was having a hard time choosing between the 25-08ai or the 25x47. I’m building it for my wife and midrange f class. This thread might have just settled my decision.Just wanted to bump my thread and keep it active. We are looking at a couple things now to figure out how to maximize our results with the 25 X 47.
Yes Sir, our hope is to help guys like yourself who are planning a build to make good decisions without having second or after thoughts. And to inform readers of the custom reamer from which our rifles are built upon by O D C R.Thank you for keeping this thread updated. I’ve enjoyed reading the progress. It may work well but N-555 was way too slow for it in my rifle.I was thinking N150 would be good for this cartridge??
I got 42 grains of N160 in my 25x47 improved, its compressed but shot well at 2850 with a 134. N150 does better at only 38 grainsN160 could also be interesting, since it acts a little out of family for a VV N100-series powder. I’ve seen quite a few reports where it seems to burn between Varget and H4350 and put up velocity to match. Its on my list to try.
Well for now it's hard to speculate with this being new to me but I'm sure that speed will take it's toll on a barrel.@Bill Norris what are you expecting barrel life? 3,000 fps ain't no joke. Around 2,000 rounds?
Spending a little more time with the Uncle Bill 30BR today on a hunt for that Dick "The Hammer" Powers load he listed in the Tack Driver VI thread. I saw two areas that looked like U B wants to shoot in but need to do some verifying. Speed is on up there pretty good with no signs of over-pressure in the Lapua brass. This Lillja barrel looks to be no exception with it's performance and it's not really sped up yet with less than 100 rds. on it. Have to commend Carson and Zack for jobs well done on the barrel & chambering.Did not abandon this rifle and testing but have been spending my time with the new "Uncle Bill" rifle presented to me last week by Zack (ODCR) and other counter parts who contributed to that cause. Managed to get the scope mounted, bore-sighted and fired the very first and very cool 5-shot group with blowing out brass that measured a cool .093 @ 100 yds. today. Plan to get back to this one soon at 300 yds. when weather cools on down a tad more.
