Accurate 22 Rifle

I was speaking with Gene Davis recently when he mentioned that he had a Tikka T1X that was definitely the most accurate factory rifle that he had ever seen.

Personally I’ve been nothing but happy with my CZ 455 American. I don’t shoot much paper with it, but when I do 1/2” to 3/4” groups are the norm with most any ammo. In the woods it’s a great squirrel rifle with sub sonic hollow points.

if I were buying today it would be a Tikka T1X or a CZ 457. Which ever one I found first would get the nod.

People haven't mentioned the Suhl 150. They float around on the used market, and for much less than an Anschutz, yet often shoot as well or better. Or can be upgraded to a top level. Very nice 2 oz trigger.

I think every 22 I have ever owned would shoot 1" at 50 yards. That includes 10/22's and Nylon 66's. They will cause you to go through a lot more ammo though.

New here and in line with what i am looking for. Kinda.

Was looking at cz 457 mtr but only see the wooden stock one and the other style (chassis) is what i would rather go with since that would be the end result is not out yet. ( from what i can tell).

I don't want to buy the wooden stock one and then buy a chassis afterwards. rather skip the middle part.

I did consider a voodoo or a rimX but to be honest that's more gun than I need.

The only one i see doable is the begara b24r. I like the semi adjustable cheek.

If I'm gonna spend a 1000. why not spend a little bit more and get what I want from the get go.

I like some of the mdt chassis and rather just find a decent barrel assembly and get the chassis I like.

It seems easy to put them together but i see issues that pop up.

Any ideas or who makes custom chassis without changing vudoo / rimc prices

Thx!!

Oryx isn't horribly priced.

I don't think kimber has made a rimfire in well over a decade. I own 2 and sure wish they still made them. One of my favorites. They seem to bring premium when offered for sale.
Any kimber offered up for sale with nice wood easily brings 1K from seeing auction results.

Closer to 1500 I think. Both mine are laminated. But I watch the auctions. 1000 is the basement I believe. I gave 1200 for the pro varmint nib. A couple years ago. Feel like it was a steal.

Bergara B14R for sure. It is all about the trigger. The B14R take any 700 trigger I have Trigger Tech Diamond in both of mine set at 8 oz.

if you are buying a kimber a quality wood stocked one is a must if you are going to drop a lot of cash-- IMO I do not see them going down anytime soon. Buy now if you are thinking of getting one.

I have a Winchester model 52-B for sale it shoots excellent it’s the rifle on the left the target was shot at 75 yds it has a JW Fecker scope not sure the power gun was made 1947 $2250

It seems to depend on the model and location. I sometimes see them sell below $1,000. I passed on one last year at $900 mainly because the couple I owned didn't shoot as well as I expect a rifle in that price range to shoot.

Find a good used Remington 541-(S or T) They shoot amazing-especially the S series.
I agree, but it may be easier and cheaper to get a CZ 457 which also shoots great and about half the price of a 541 S.

I'm on a budget, but I have three (Anschutz, Tikka, and CZ 452. I like them in that order. For me, I think my choices represent my uses and shooting abilities. For me, the Anschutz and Tikka match my capability and needs. I'm not wild about the CZ and will probably get rid of it one day. If I shot competitively I might spring for something like a Vudoo. I wanted a Bergara and I looked at a carbon fiber barrel and carbon steel barrel. The fiber barrel gun's action was as rough as a corn cob, the carbon steel was ok. First impressions last and I never purchased one because that one representation of quality control was less than acceptable. Who knows, it might have smoothed out, but if I had dropped 1K and opened the box to that action, I would have been very displeased.
