I think one of the issues is the almost lack of good mental health institutions like there used to be. All the warning signs were there but no one really took them seriously enough to commit him and find his firearms. No one. He has rights you know, just ask the ACLU. He does but mental health issues should suspend them until he is better or forever if he never recovers. Kinda like a felon can't own or possess a firearm.

Ironic that the Oregon police recently handled a similar situation to the Maine one in a proactive manner.

If one believes CDC data, they report over 4000 drowning deaths annually, thats equivalent to over 11 deaths daily! Anyone calling for a ban on swimming pools? More lives would be saved by banning pools than “assault“ weapons! Perhaps calls for restricting gun rights has little to do with saving lives… just a thought.

I do not care what random people with mental health issues and twist ideology do because it reflects on them alone and not on anything they use to harm other's. No one in Nice France wanted to ban commercial trucks because a terrorist who also had hand gernades and an AK47 in the cab of the truck used a truck as tool of terror. So while it is always said when people die people die every second of every day in car accidents, medical accidents, precription drug issues, illicit drugs, you name it. Mass shooters do not concern me in the least. I do not care.

I also do not think anyone dies before God has ordained it their time to die outside of suicide maybe!

My Dad has blood cancer and it is likely linked to his 23 years of military service yet we do not have the media and congress and the senate wanting to end all military service!

I heart goes out to the family but again people die constantly yet we do not see a constant public outcry for support of everys ingle person that dies each day!

I am more concerned with why we do not get to see the medical history and drug prescriptions and manifestos of every single mass shooter every single time! The information we really need to have is always hidden from us!
