Curious if there are any members that shoot at the Scarborough Rod and Gun Club. I would love to shoot there but I was told you need to have a sponcer to join and you also need special training to shoot at the 600 yard range which I am particularly interested in. I am an avid shooter and will be back in Maine in June and was hoping to get a chance to shoot before I leave the country again on my next assignment

It is actually Scarborough Fish and Game Association. The membership process does involve a sponsor, but I believe if you don't know anyone there they will try to get a current member to help you thru the application. You do have to qualify to shoot at 600. It is an urban range and they can't afford to lose projectiles off range. If you have any type of mid-range prone experience you may be good to go.
