A question on the value of a Model 12C Remington

Guys,
I am not a "rimfire" aficionado but have a neighbor who has hit some hard times and needs to dispose of a Rem. 12 C .
Appears to be in 80% NRA range (based on my interpretation of what the "Blue Book" lists)
Stuff on Gun Broker not much help and local shops either really low ball or show no interest.
I did clean it up and it functions smoothly, bore is in good shape, no pitting or rust and stock pretty good-no big dings or gouges.
Shoots fine although my standard is a 6mm BR, so, not quite in the ballpark for me.

Got any ideas of a range of value?
How to sell it ?
I even thought of just buying it myself to help him out but have no idea of what to offer-

Rather than sell it to the gun shop. Why not consign it for sale. They usually take %15 and will get the best price they can.

Guy needs the money now. Spoke with our local gunshop guy(standup kind of fellow) and he said he would buy it but for 150 bucks and then put it out to sell, hoping to get 350 or so.

Will give buddy the options and see what he wants to do.
