Will be interesting to see if the Flavio becomes more available and what the price point is. My question is what trigger hanger will work? What hanger are people using for the Flavio Whisper?

I run Borden BRMXD actions and the Sidhe dropped straight into the hangar that my old TriggerTech Diamonds were in - apparently Flavio triggers work in the same hangar.

Looks easy here. I think it's pretty straight forward.
Unlike mine they now are closed up so no dirty grime.
I had taken this pic before i realized The gold washer.
It goes to the red circle.

The Bearings are from Japan not the whole trigger.
Luca is in Italy.
Australia had been getting these for several years. Having an exporter has been the hold up here.

When I first saw the inside of the Sidhe BR similar to the pic above it seemed like a simple, elegant and almost sexy design and I wanted to try one. I tried for several months to get them to the US but could not find a way without starting my own business. I took a bit of a flyer here as I have not seen one of these in person yet. The shipping has been a challenge and the first batch is still in transit and UPS says should be here later today. The reputation in Europe of both Sidhe SRL and the triggers is excellent from all reports. My hope is to provide a what appears to be a better mousetrap at a competitive price and do my best to maintain availability.

The EVO generation trigger has some improvements over the pic Johnny shared above. Most notably it is fully enclosed and the trigger pull distance is adjustable. The lever has an option for straight and curved. The first batch ordered are only curved but I plan to get some straight levers in the next batch hopefully later this year if all goes as I hope. Johnny is correct, Luca and the Sidhe team assembles these in Italy and only the ball bearings are purchased from Japan.

If you look at my profile here you will see I generally keep a low profile on the forums. There are always members here with more knowledge and experience but I will try to provide any details where I can.

Ok...now it makes sense.

Looking at the technical specs, It should say 'made in Japan' so as to continue the reference to the bearings. 'Made in Japan' (capital 'M') makes that look like a new sentence referencing the entire trigger.

I'd rather someone else test it. Ultimate Reloader does too much paid/partner content, the line is too blurred between the 'honest results' side and his 'paid shill' side.

If you would, Address my statement concerning the enclosed structure.
Perhaps we all got spoiled with the Jewel Triggers very low maintenance requirements. If the thing did start to act funny, 95% of the time you could simply flush it with lighter fluid and it would be just fine. A testament to this is in all of my 30 years of Competitive Benchrest, I have never had a reason to take a Jewel apart.

You tout the fact that the enclosed structure of your trigger protects it from debri, be it solid or liquid. That’s fine, but unrealistic in the real world of Short Range Benchrest. Shooters say, “well, it’s your responsibility to make sure something does not get in there, whether through the cleaning process or dust blowing during the match”. let’s here that opinion when YOUR trigger fails half way though a Match and you have to either take it apart or have a spare on hand.

I have four Bix & Andy Benchrest Triggers. They are phenomenal. Is it any better than a Jewel. On the target? no. I darned sure cannot tell the difference. I try to set all of my triggers at 1.5 Ounces

The biggest drawback to the Bix & Andy is if anything, and I mean anything, gets in there, it’s going to fail.
I just had to clean one of mine. When I opened it, I could not see the problem. Possibly some film accumulated from countless cleaning of the barrel, despite my best efforts. I cleaned it as always, following Bullet Central’s instructions, and it works great again. Heck, the alcohol bath I used didn’t even change color.

So. Here is my question. Will your trigger be user friendly in the cleaning process If it does quit functioning. Or will it tolerate a little more fouling as opposed to the Bix &Andy.

Hi Jackie,
I understand your concern and I am reaching out to the Sidhe team for more information. The trigger has a great track record in other parts of the world and has been well tested in competition but I will get more specific details.

In the mean time here is pic of the top of the trigger aligned with a Jewel in a BAT hanger. This is a better view of how the top is enclosed.

The new design does a great job of reducing risk of debris but nothing will eliminate risk. That being said I always consider myself to be the original crash test dummy and usually find a way to break most things.

If you look at the pic Johnny shared above and consider what impact debris may have on motion, the interior design appears to limit a lot of risk as well. You would really have to pack a lot of stuff into the trigger to limit the motion of the pivoting lever. I can see where a liquid that hardened over time may impact the trigger but all levers are directly moved by another so it should be limiting as well, but this is all just theory.

Please give me some time to get you a better answer.

Yes that is the same pictures we shared. Yes this is the same trigger updated now.
I've got an order in for one. I'm gonna replace my 3 jewels eventually.

Looks to be the same operating principal as the Flavio. The searless design. The design has proven to be very reliable. It does have a different feel because theres no sear to break. Its more of a rolling a ball over the apex of a hill feel. At least thats how I describe it. Both good in their own way.

I'm not sure that's a huge issue... or not for very long. Especially considering how long it takes to source all the parts for a build.

I have a response from Sidhe...

When we say that the trigger is completely closed to keep dust and dirt out - the body is completely closed, it cannot be opened, there is a seal, by opening it - the warranty expires.

Already in the previous model it was difficult to get dirt inside but it could happen like in South Africa with sand. We have specially developed this model with a body so closed (at the request of shooters from Australia and South Africa) protecting as much as possible.

For any problem (which can happen as with all triggers of all brands) it will not be necessary to ship to Italy but simply contact PAR Solutions who will have everything necessary to satisfy their customers not only with the sale but also with warranty and support.

This year during the European F class in Bisley in the UK about 50 shooters shot with our triggers: Br Evo and Target Evo, these have conditions were extreme: rain and mud, no one had problems. One of the F Tr shooters who shot this year in Bisley, UK (second place in the European Championship 2024) had been using one of our triggers since 2017, more than 11,000 shots, and never had problems.

Of course if someone uses a lot of oils during cleaning without protecting the hole where the trigger is and a sea of crap enters inside with years it can get blocked... ours is less delicate than other triggers but there is a limit to everything.
